Beginnings.
Andelino Art Studio did not begin as a formal institution.
Twenty years ago, it started quietly at home, through one on one tutoring built on patience, care and shared time. There was no studio, no signage, and no long term plan. There was only the work of teaching.
Learning Through Teaching
As the years passed, experience was built gradually.
Teaching methods were refined through practice rather than theory. Lessons adapted to each student. Trust grew through consistency, and relationships with students and families deepened through time.
Art education became less about outcomes and more about understanding how to see, how to practice, and how to persist.
Commitment
The studio's founder, jheng, remained deeply committed to both his artistic practice and the students he guided.
Teaching was shaped by patience, individualized attention, and respect for each student's pace. Challenges were met with perseverance rather than shortcuts. Progress came slowly, but honestly.
Community Support.
As the impact of the teaching became visible, support followed.
Families returned. Students stayed. Members of the community offered encouragement, assistance, and trust. This shared belief made it possible to continue and to grow.
A studio space
Through careful planning and years of steady work, what began at home eventually found a physical space.
In 2024, Andelino Art Studio officially opened. This moment reflected more than a new location, it marked years of dedication, community support, and belief in meaningful art education.
Continuing the Practice
The opening of the studio was not an end, but a continuation.
The values remain the same: steady guidance honest work, patience in learning, and care for each student. The studio continues to grow through those who choose to be part of this shared practice.
